Introduction to RTM TV3
Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad atau lebih dikenali sebagai TV3 merupakan stesen televisyen swasta terestrial dan siaran percuma nasional pertama di Malaysia milik Media Prima Berhad, konglomerat penyiaran dan media Malaysia. TV3 memulakan siarannya pada 1 Jun 1984 dan kekal sebagai stesen televisyen yang paling ditonton di Malaysia.Sama seperti kebanyakan stesen televisyen di Asia Tenggara, TV3 juga terkenal dengan drama lipur laranya. TV3 mula bersiaran 24 jam sehari pada 31 Ogos 1997 sebagai penyiaran 24 jam yang pertama di Malaysia dan meneruskan penyiaran 24 jam pada 1 Januari 2010, Penyiaran 24 jam semula sekali lagi pada 1 November 2015.
Pada asalnya, ibu pejabat saluran ini bersiaran dari Jalan Liku, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur pada 1 Jun 1984 dan kemudian berpindah ke Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor pada 1 Jun 1995 sebelum bersiaran sepenuhnya di Balai Berita, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur pada 21 Oktober 2024 sama seperti yang berlaku pada DidikTV KPM, 8TV dan TV9 apabila berpindah ke ibu pejabat New Straits Times Press pada tahun 2024.
TV3, TV9, DidikTV KPM, 8TV dan stesen radio dikawal selia oleh Media Prima yang mana siarannya berpusat di Balai Berita, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Saluran ini disiarkan secara langsung di perkhidmatan penstriman Media Prima, Tonton, dan unifi PlayTV. TV3 dan saluran Media Prima yang lainnya tiada dalam aplikasi Astro GO dan sooka kerana di platform Astro dan NJOI masih disiarkan dalam bentuk definisi standard (SD) walaupun siarannya ke resolusi 16.9 atau resolusi (HD).
