广水电视台（前身为应山电视台，88年12月因撤县建市更名）于1988年6月8日经国家广电部批准成立并正式开播，并自开播之日起，坚持天天办新闻从未间断。现拥有各类电视采编制作人才70余人，其中大专以上文化程度的57人，取得中级以上职称的38人。
