Radiostation RTV OOST staat in Overijsel bekend als regionale publieke omroep. Het hoofdstation van de zender zit in Hengelo. RTV Oost is een afsplitsing van de in 1978 opgerichte Radio Oost, in 1991 kreeg het alleenrecht en mochten ze zelf programma’s draaien. Het gelde voor een lange tijd als de regionale zender van Overijsel en Gelderland.
