Официальное вещание телеканала началось 1 января 2015 года(с 1 июня 2014 года велось тестовое вещание[7]). Сетка вещания телеканала не дублирует сетку вещания основной версии телеканала «Мир» (+0). 7 августа 2018 года произошел ребрендинг телеканала «Мир HD» в «Мир Premium». Директор телеканала «Мир Premium» — заместитель Председателя МТРК «Мир» Екатерина Абрамова.
