蕲春电视台隶属于蕲春县广播电影电视局。试播于1991年1月1日，县编委正式定编于1991年11月的蕲春电视台，组建初期设有新闻专题部和节目制作部等2个内部工作机构。1997年6月，撤销新闻专题部，分设新闻部、专题部；2001年6月，增设编辑部、播音部、文艺部，同时将原节目制作部改设为技术部；2006年，增设办公室。
