新巴尔虎右旗电视台的前身可追溯至 1999 年 5 月 14 日成立的新巴尔虎右旗有线电视台，2020 年 3 月 16 日整合相关资源组建为新巴尔虎右旗融媒体中心（旗广播电视台），并于 2021 年 2 月进一步整合旗广播电视村村通工程管理中心、旗电影管理站后完善机构设置，现为隶属于旗委的正科级事业单位。作为当地重要的新闻宣传阵地，其牢牢把握铸牢中华民族共同体意识工作主线，承担本级广播电视节目的采编、制作、审核、播控及传输发射设备维护等工作，同时负责上级广播电视台节目的安全传输发射与蒙语广播电视相关任务，通过 9 处广播电视发射站点构建起覆盖广泛的传输网络，使市旗两级自办节目及中央、内蒙古相关广播电视节目人口覆盖率达到 95% 左右，还曾开创全国首家境外旗县级记者站、首个旗县斯拉夫文字网站等特色传播载体，持续为群众提供优质广播电视服务与惠民电影放映服务。
